In Memory of Herbert Pieper

End of August our friend and TWHBEA member Herbert Pieper died at the age of 56.

Herbert was passionated about his family and the Tennessee Walking Horses. Since the early beginning of the Tennessee Walking Horse scene in Europe, he was an active member and ambassador of our breed. He attend almost every show in Germany and the Netherlands. His wife Lisa was his helping hand on the showgrounds. They both owned 5 TWHs and produced some registered offspring. The reason for him to attend our shows was not to win blue ribbons on first hand - even he won many of it - but rather to have fun! Meeting with his friends, having a nice BBQs, talking about horses, and having a good times was his main ambition. Herbert had a heart of gold. He was always being helpful, no matter what kind of problems we had. Everybody loved this charming gentlemen, with a smile always on his lips. We enjoyed many trailrides with him and his wife. It was a great pleasure to share the love for the Tennessee Walking Horse with him. In memory of Herbert we will name a trophy to his honor which we will present at the European Championships.
